
Arbitration Act commencement date confirmed

The long-awaited Arbitration Act 2025, which updates the previous 1996 Act in England and Wales and Northern Ireland, will come into full force on 1 August.
Minister of State for Courts and Legal Services Sarah Sackman KC has confirmed that the Arbitration Act 2025, which received Royal Assent earlier this year, will be fully effective from 1 August.
